Yoga for Kids – Hridaya Yoga for Children Teacher Training Course, France, October of 2025
Event Navigation
6th to 13rd of October of 2025
Yoga is indeed a way of life, and it’s never too soon to begin. Teaching Yoga to children can be a rewarding and fulfilling experience. It’s important to remember that every child is unique and will respond differently to the yoga practice. By being patient, understanding, and adaptable, you can create a safe, inclusive, and fun yoga environment for children, helping them to learn harmoniously about environment, relations, and themselves.
Today there are many different types of yoga programs for children. Introducing the concept and practice of yoga and a yogic lifestyle to the children can contribute to their very best start in life and you may offer them a way of maintaining good health throughout the years. More, by introducing the concept and practice of Hridaya Yoga and a Hridaya yogic lifestyle to the children you are showing and teaching them about a path of harmony and love. Yoga practice in general brings to children improved flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, enhanced concentration, and focus. Hridaya Yoga principles are adding to all these benefits the development of self-awareness, the reduced stress and anxiety, the growth of a positive self-image, and a sense of inner peace.
When introduced in the early stages of life, the Hridaya Yoga values can contribute to the formation of positive inner habits that will stay with them a life time, improving not only their social emotional skills, social awareness, and relationships skills, but also their self-awareness, self-management, the ability of take responsible decisions, the ability of self-tuning between inner heart needs and society demands.
The course is structured on the widely accepted children developmental stages, having in view the different variations of development that are depending on factors like genetics, cognition, physical abilities, family, culture, nutrition, education, and environment. The course is involving the learning about child development by studying patterns of growth and development, from which guidelines for ‘normal’ development are construed, recommending a holistic approach of the development, which sees the child as a whole person – physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially, morally, culturally and spiritually.
The lead trainer, Carmen Prema Mitroi (E-RYT 500, E-CRYT and YACEP), studied psychology, is having a Master in Psychology of Education, and a great experience in yoga practice, since she is practicing and teaching yoga for more then 30 years. The course is given with the help of Eugen Manole (E-RYT 200, RYT500, YACEP), who is having a PhD in Social Science and Advanced Certificate in Teaching English to Young Learners, Advanced Certificate in Teaching Mindfulness to Young Learners and Teenagers and Advanced Certificate in Mindfulness Skills for Individuals all accredited by ACCREDITAT (UK).
Together they developed the course by tailoring the yoga practice for children with emphasis to the understanding of two essential aspects: the correct practice of the yoga techniques and the developmental needs of children at different development stages.
